Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary | Photo Credit: PTI Ahead of the one-day special session of the Bihar Assembly which has been called on Friday (April 24, 2026) to prove majority of the new government led by BJP’s first Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary, the ruling coalition partner Janata Dal (United) on Thursday (April 23, 2026) asserted that for the NDA government “winning the trust vote is a foregone conclusion”. The ruling NDA has the support of 202 legislators, while the Opposition has the backing of 41 MLAs in the 243-member Assembly. Speaker Prem Kumar has called a one-day special session for the new government led by BJP’s Samrat Choudhary to prove its majority on the floor of the House on April 24.
