Health Minister Dinesh Gundu Rao | Photo Credit: File photo Government hospitals in Karnataka are emerging as centres for advanced orthopaedic procedures such as Total Knee Replacement (TKR) and Total Hip Replacement (THR), following a series of reforms aimed at strengthening infrastructure, capacity and access, Health Minister Dinesh Gundu Rao said on Thursday. Addressing presspersons, he said the State has witnessed a clear shift towards public hospitals performing these surgeries, reducing dependence on private facilities and ensuring affordable care closer to patients’ homes.
