Body of missing three-year-old boy found after 10 days in Namakkal

A three-year-old boy, who was missing for the past 10 days, was found dead in a water body here on April 24, 2026 (Friday).

The police said that Parasuraman (60), a brick kiln worker residing in No. 3 Komarapalayam, had taken his grandson Manikandan to a pond in the locality for fishing 10 days ago. While Parasuraman was fishing, the boy, who was playing nearby, went missing. On information, Fire and Rescue services personnel rushed to the spot and launched a search operation. They pumped out water from pond, but the boy was not found.
