File | Photo Credit: By Arrangement The Vizianagaram police have been giving special priority to road safety and are working to ensure zero accidents in the district, Superintendent of Police A.R. Damodar said on Tuesday (April 14, 2026). Speaking to the media, he said lack of attention, overspeeding and disregard for traffic rules were leading to fatal road accidents in the district. He said the department’s recent initiatives had reduced accidents on several routes, including Vizianagaram-Denkada-Vizianagaram-Chintalavalasa and Vizianagaram-Gajapathinagaram, where speed breakers had been installed.
