Having endured weeks of stifling heat, Pathanamthitta is now witnessing severe drought-like conditions, as water sources across much of the district continue to dry up. With temperatures soaring, water levels in major rivers such as the Manimala, Achankovil, and Pampa, which sustain large parts of the region, have dropped sharply. The crisis is particularly acute in the high ranges, where even residents living along riverbanks are struggling to access water.
