Ambedkar’s 135th birth anniversary was celebrated in Shivamogga on Tuesday (April 14), with elected representatives, government officials, and the public participating in large numbers. The day began with a procession at the Shivamogga City Corporation. Participants wore blue shawls around their necks. Interestingly, many of them danced to the tunes of drums played by folk artists. Hundreds of people joined the procession, raising slogans praising Ambedkar, the architect of the Indian Constitution.
