Shivakumar said the Congress government has fulfilled its promise by providing government jobs to the family members of patients who died owing to oxygen shortage at the Chamarajanagar district hospital during COVID-19. Speaking at a function organised in Gundlupet to launch a project to fill up 110 tanks with water and lay foundation stones for various development works in Gundlupet taluk in Chamarajanagar district, near here, on Tuesday (April 21), Mr. Shivakumar said he and Chief Minister Siddaramaiah had visited Chamarajanagar to investigate the deaths of more than 33 people at the hospital during the BJP government’s tenure five years ago.
