‘Bhoomi Pooja’ for BSY Abhimanotsava held in Chitradurga

BJP State president B.Y. Vijayendra has said that lakhs of people from different parts of the State will take part in the BSY Abhimanotsava, a mega convention to celebrate 50 years of former Chief Minister B.S. Yediyurappa in public life, to be held at Chitradurga on May 9.

Speaking to presspersons after taking part in the ‘Bhoomi pooja’ for the construction of the pandal and tent for the convention in Chitradurga, on Sunday, Mr. Vijayendra said that the ‘Bhoomi pooja’ had been conducted in the presence of seers of various mutts and leaders of the BJP. “Yediyurappa dedicated the last 50 years of his life for society. All through his career he worked for the upliftment of the poor and the downtrodden. He travelled across the State and built the party. We are organising an event to felicitate him on completing 50 years in public life,” Mr. Vijayendra said.
