The District Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission has imposed a penalty of ₹30,000 on Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) after finding lapses in service, including failure to provide a seat to a sick passenger and not allowing him to alight at his requested stop.

The order came on a complaint filed by Mohammed Zainudheen Kormath of Thottasseriyara near Vengara. He had boarded a KSRTC bus from Amballoor near Thrissur to Kolappuram near Vengara.
