As many as 66 sheep and goats were killed in a lightning strike near Budur village in Gurmitkal taluk on Monday evening. The livestock belonged to Mallappa, Ashappa, Jollappa and Hanumanth of Budur village. The sheep and goats were sheltered under a tree when lightning struck.
