The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Kozhikode has launched ‘Uyare’, a project aimed at empowering women entrepreneurs. The initiative was inaugurated by District Collector Snehil Kumar Singh. As part of the inaugural ceremony, a comprehensive training kit—comprising an activity book and a handbook designed for aspiring entrepreneurs—was released. The ‘Uyare’ project is a research-driven initiative by IIM Kozhikode aimed at strengthening grassroots entrepreneurship among Kudumbashree women entrepreneurs. The project will include intensive two-day grama panchayat-level business training programmes for around 700 women across 40 local bodies in Kozhikode and Malappuram districts between April and June 2026.
