In a judgment delivered nearly 15 years after the incident, the Additional District and Sessions Court, Taliparamba, on Friday (April 17) sentenced 10 CPI(M) workers in an attempted murder case involving a bomb attack on BJP-RSS workers at Thimiri near Alakode in the district. Presiding judge Prashant K.N. awarded rigorous imprisonment of up to 25 years along with a fine of ₹2.6 lakh each to the accused, including CPI(M) leader and activist M.K. Pradeep kumar, T.V. Binu, V.P. Sathyan, P.V. Baburaj, E.V. Vinodkumar, Vijayan, K.P. Suresh, Tobby, Janardhanan, and Sivaprakash.
