Model booths set up in densely populated areas in Chennai

To boost voter turnout in high-density residential areas of the city ahead of the 2026 Assembly polls, model polling stations were set up within apartment complexes, including in Tondiarpet (R.K. Nagar constituency) and in Koyambedu (Virugambakkam constituency) on Saturday.

These will provide convenience for local residents, a release stated. Also, awareness events such as Rangoli competitions were held, with prizes awarded to winners.
