Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) vice-president Kolanukonda Shivaji on Saturday criticised Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Babu Naidu’s call for a special Legislative Assembly session in May “to condemn the Congress-led INDIA bloc for defeating the Women’s Reservation Bill in Parliament and to appeal to the people not to vote for those who are anti-women in the coming days.” In a statement, Mr. Shivaji demanded that the government include in the agenda of the special session the “quota within quota for OBC women” in women’s reservation and a discussion on the 200-km Amaravati ORR project and the loss being caused to small and marginal farmers through “forcible acquisition” of 10,000 acres of land.
