The Legislative Council Chairman’s discretionary powers are not absolute and he or she is bound by the Constitution, observes TDP leader P. Ashok Babu. | Photo Credit: File Photo TDP State general secretary Paruchuri Ashok Babu on Saturday called the rejection of the resignation letter of MLC Jayamangalam Venkataramana by Legislative Council Chairman K. Moshenu Raju as a “death blow to democracy,” and attributed it to intense political pressure.
