A man and his son were killed when a speeding car knocked their bike down on Thoothukudi-Madurai highway near Kariyapatti on Sunday. Police identified the deceased as Alagumalai, 63, and his son Munusamy, 33. They were near Sennampatty junction on the way to home, when the car driven by Anand, 44, of Erode hit their bike. Both were killed on the spot. Kariyapatti police are investigating.
