File It was former Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s decision not to allow his son Nishant Kumar to become the Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar or to get any ministerial post. Though many leaders of the Janata Dal (United) wanted him to get the post, Nitish Kumar chose to push his son into the party activities before getting a ministerial post. Leaders close to Mr. Kumar, said that getting a ministerial post or Deputy CM post was not a tough task, but it would have unnecessarily started a debate and would have given an opportunity to the Opposition parties alleging that Nitish was promoting dynasty politics, to which he has always opposed.
