The exam was originally slated to be held from April 21 to 24. The issue was raised by Members of the Legislative Council (MLCs) representing teachers’ and graduates’ constituencies during a special house committee meeting in Bengaluru. Taking into account the large-scale involvement of teachers in Census-related duties, the committee recommended deferring the examination.
