Of the several grounds to be mentioned in the anticipatory bail application, is a ground that she is currently pregnant. Meanwhile, the Special Investigation Team on Friday quizzed Ms. Nida Khan’s husband in Mumbra. Police issued a statement saying Ms. Nida Khan was absconding and that three teams had been formed to trace her. “We took Ms. Nida Khan’s husband into custody and questioned him. He gave us an address, saying she had gone to one of their relatives’ place. We immediately dispatched a police team there, but found the house locked. Her phone is also switched off. Even her relatives’ phones are switched off. If she has nothing to hide, why is she not appearing in front of the police?” asked Nashik Assistant Commissioner of Police Sandip Mitke. The SIT team is being led by him.
