Peraisamy Higher educational institutions in Coimbatore have prevailed upon students to exercise their franchise for the Assembly polls on April 23, which has been declared as a public holiday. Y. Yezhili, principal, Government Arts and Science College (Autonomous), Coimbatore, said that mock polls were conducted as per the guidelines of the Election Commission of India (ECI) on the campus to familiarise students with the polling process.
