Rajesh Despite severe heat, steady polling was witnessed across the southern Tamil Nadu, covering 58 Assembly constituencies in Theni, Dindigul, Madurai, Virudhunagar, Sivaganga, Ramanathapuram, Tirunelveli, Thoothukudi, Tenkasi and Kanniyakumari district, on Thursday. As the polling started at 7 a.m., there were long queues in both urban and rural pockets. Voters displayed booth slips issued by the district administration and either EPIC or Aadhaar card. Women and first time voters too turned up in large numbers.
