A total of 4,758 web cameras are being installed to monitor polling stations across the eight Assembly constituencies in the district for the April 23 election. District Election Officer and Collector S. Kandasamy on Saturday (April 18, 2026) inspected webcasting arrangements at polling stations in areas under the Erode (West) Assembly constituency. At the Ashram Matriculation Higher Secondary School in Kollampalayam, he verified the installation of web cameras for webcasting both inside and outside the polling stations.
