A dispute has surfaced in Telangana over the filling of Assistant Professor posts under the Directorate of Medical Education (DME), with doctors raising objections to the alleged prioritisation of lateral entry over regular direct recruitment. In a representation submitted to DME Dr. A. Narendra Kumar on Friday, April 17, doctors urged the authorities to adhere to the sequence prescribed under existing government orders and reinforced by Telangana High Court directions.
