Writer K. Vittal Rao and documentary film director Amshan Kumar have been selected for the Ma. Aranganathan Literary Award for 2026. The award will be presented to them at a function in Chennai on April 16, 2026. Mr. Rao has written short stories, five novellas, 12 novels, and numerous articles on cinema. Mr. Kumar, a writer and translator, has also produced documentaries on writer Ashokamitran and thavil maestro Yazhpandam Dakshinamurthi.
