The district administration has notified postal voting centres in the nine Assembly constituencies in Tiruchi district where Absentee Voters on Essential Services (AVES) can cast their postal ballots from April 17 to 19.

In an effort to ensure that all those engaged in essential services such as railways, airports, marine operations, journalists, transport, power distribution, fire and essential services, prison and traffic police can cast their votes through postal ballots. Over 750 voters have submitted 12 D forms for the nine constituencies in the district.
