Jangareddygudem police in Eluru district busted an inter-state cricket betting racket and arrested six persons. Acting on a tip-off, a team led by Assistant Superintendent of Police R. Susmitha arrested P.N.V. Narasimhacharyulu, who was organising the betting from a house in Rajula Colony, and froze ₹4 lakh in cash held in the bank accounts of the accused.

Based on the information provided by the accused, police conducted a raid at Kukatpally in Hyderabad on Saturday (April 18, 2026), and arrested M. Veeranjaneyulu (bookie) and T. Tandava Krishna of Palnadu district, P. Venu Babu of Prakasam district, G. Ravindra Reddy of Kadapa district, and P. Ravi of Annamayya district.
