The Service Doctors and Post Graduates Association (SDPGA) has urged the Director of Public Health (DPH) and Preventive Medicine to conduct transfer counselling through online mode after a doctor, who had come to Chennai to participate in a transfer counselling session, sustained a head injury in a road accident. In a statement, the SPDGA said that the doctor from Tiruchi Health Unit District had come to participate in the transfer counselling for Primary Health Centre doctors scheduled to be held on Thursday. He sustained a head injury in a road accident and was admitted to a government hospital. The association urged the DPH to conduct all counselling sessions online at the District Health Offices similar to the way the other health directorates conducted them.
