Leaders and activists of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) (CPIM) staged a protest at the NTR district Collectorate in Vijayawada on Monday (April 27, 2026), demanding immediate steps to resolve the ongoing petrol and diesel shortage in Andhra Pradesh.

The CPM workers pulled autos and goods vehicles using ropes to highlight the severity of the crisis. Auto drivers, hamalis, and other workers also joined the protest, raising slogans and displaying banners against the government.
