Mohammed Shariq | Photo Credit: file photo A special court of the National Investigation Agency (NIA) has convicted and sentenced Mohammed Shariq, an alleged operative linked to the Islamic State (IS), to 10 years rigorous imprisonment in connection with the 2022 Mangaluru pressure cooker blast case. The court also imposed a fine of about ₹92,000 under the provisions of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) and relevant sections of the IPC.
