The city police carrying out inspections at chemical factories in Mysuru on January 30. | Photo Credit: Special Arrangement In the wake of the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) claiming to have busted a clandestine drug manufacturing laboratory in Mysuru, the city police carried out an inspection of chemical factories, warehouses and distribution units in Metagalli and Hebbal areas here on January 30. During the exercise carried out under the leadership of the Vijaynagar Assistant Commissioner of Police, the sleuths inspected the chemicals and raw materials used in the factories and stored in the warehouses with the assistance of sniffer dogs from the dog squad. The owners of factories, warehouses, and distribution units were advised to maintain accurate inventory records of the chemicals and raw materials. They were also instructed to stay vigilant regarding the use of prohibited chemicals and raw materials. The police had also issued a warning that strict legal action will be taken if any suspicious activities are found.
