With a view to afford medical facilities at the Nandi Hills station, which is the sanatorium of Mysore, the Superintendent, Hills station in Mysore, proposed that the District Board of Kolar might be requested to meet the cost of the establishment of a local fund dispensary at the foot of the Nandi Hills for eight months in the year. But the Kolar District Board passed a resolution to the effect that there was no necessity for a dispensary at Nandi, but that a medicine chest might be supplied to the Superintendent. In accordance with the suggestions of the Senior Surgeon in Mysore on this matter Government have directed that a medicine chest be supplied to the Superintendent, who in cases of emergency might telephone the cycle orderly at the foot of the Hill to fetch medical aid from Chikballapur.
