CAFIT (Calicut Forum for IT), in collaboration with Government Cyber Park, has launched the CAFIT Premier League, a beach cricket tournament. The three-day event is being held at a specially prepared ground at Kozhikode town beach, with a total of 35 teams competing across men’s and women’s categories. The tournament was formally inaugurated by Sushanth Kurunthil, CEO of Infopark and Cyber Park. The matches are being played in a six-over format, with eight players per team. A total of 29 men’s teams and six women’s teams are participating. The finals will be held on Sunday (April 26).
