Jayalakshmi received the Police Medal for Meritorious Service from Chief Justice of India Surya Kant at a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) event in New Delhi on Monday (April 20, 2026), ACB officials said in a release on Tuesday (April 21, 2026). The medal was presented at the 22nd D.P. Kohli Memorial Lecture at Bharat Mandapam. The CJI delivered the lecture on the theme “Challenges of Cyber Crime: Role for Police and Judiciary”, and presented the medal to 23 officers and officials of the CBI. The lecture is held annually in memory of D.P. Kohli, the founder Director of the CBI.
