The Gauhati High Court on Tuesday (April 21, 2026) reserved its order on Congress leader Pawan Khera’s plea for an anticipatory bail in connection with a criminal case registered against him by the Assam Police’s Crime Branch in Guwahati.

The case was based on a complaint filed by Riniki Bhuyan Sharma, wife of Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, who accused the Congress leader of falsely claiming that she held multiple passports and undisclosed foreign assets.
