After staging an indefinite strike for about 32 days near the Gandhi statue at the GVMC building, vendors displaced from the popular Night Food Court on Old Jail Road have finally called off their agitation on Saturday (April 25, 2026). The decision comes in after the officials from the Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation (GVMC) visited the protest site and assured the vendors that their grievances would be addressed and their shops reopened within a month.
