Forty-seven members of the Communist Party of India (Maoist) from the Dakshina Bastar Divisional Committee (DVC) under the Dandakaranya Special Zonal Committee (DKSZC) surrendered before the Telangana Police on Saturday (April 25, 2026), along with 32 firearms and 515 rounds of ammunition. Among those who joined the mainstream were senior leaders, including Hemla Aithu alias Vigya, a member of the Dandakaranya Special Zonal Committee (DKSZC) and in charge of the South Bastar Divisional Committee (DVC), and Podium Lachu alias Manoj, a Divisional Committee Member (DVCM) and Platoon Commander in the People’s Liberation Guerrilla Army (PLGA).
