The Andhra Pradesh Government Employees Association (APGEA) has welcomed the directions issued by the Andhra Pradesh High Court on a petition alleging irregularities in the Commercial Taxes Department. In a statement on Monday, association president G. Suryanaraya said the court’s order for a detailed inquiry into allegations against Chief Commissioner A. Ahmad Babu, including issues related to tax collection, denial of promotions and alleged harassment of employees, was a positive step towards ensuring accountability.
