Higher Education Minister M.C. Sudhakar said that the government is planning to conduct seat allotment for engineering and other professional courses without waiting for the results of the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET-2026) results.

Speaking to reporters after visiting a CET centre on Friday (April 24), he said, “We are examining the possibilities of conducting counselling for engineering and other professional courses instead of waiting for the NEET results. This will help students get engineering seats in the college of their choice.”
