The Nungambakkam police registered a case against Balasubramanian, husband of AIADMK’s Thousand Lights constituency candidate and former Minister B. Valarmathi, for staging a road blockade and preventing public servants from performing their duty during polling near Valluvar Kottam on Thursday. The police said Balasubramanian, who was engaged in poll-related activity near a polling booth in Thousand Lights constituency, got involved in an altercation, during which he obstructed police personnel on security duty.
