Daskhina Kannada in-charge Minister Dinesh Gundu Rao on Saturday laid the foundation stones for the four-laning of 500-meter stretch on the Airport Road between Marakada and Maravoor Junction, concreting of Valencia Circle-Gorigudde Road and Urwa’s Kavitha Residency Road. These are among 180 road, storm water drainage and footpath projects to be taken up in the City under Mahatma Gandhi Nagar Vikas Yojana (MGNVY) 2.0.

The 180 projects estimated to cost ₹165 crore covers 49.48 km of building roads, 28.12 km of constructing storm water drains, 6.312 km of building footpaths, 3.7 km of constructing retaining walls, and 49.8 km of laying utility ducts and 1.54 km of constructing UGD network.
