Former central committee member of the outlawed CPI (Maoist) Pulluri Prasad Rao alias Chandranna was given a warm welcome by the villagers of his native Vadkapur in Julapalli mandal of Peddapalli district on Sunday. It was an emotional reunion for the 65-year-old former top Maoist leader with his villagers when he stepped into his native village after spending nearly 45 years in the underground movement. It may be mentioned that Prasad Rao surrendered before the Telangana Director General of Police (DGP) B. Shivadhar Reddy in Hyderabad on October 28 last year. His relatives, schoolmates and others garlanded him on his arrival in the village on Sunday afternoon, sources said. He recalled his childhood days during his brief interaction with some elderly persons of the village and relatives.
