Namakkal District Collector Durgamoorthi inspected arrangements at the counting centre at Tiruchengode on Friday. District Collector and Returning Officer Durgamoorthi on Friday (April 24) said that 163 CCTV cameras were installed in the counting centre on the campus of a private college at Tiruchengode, which stored the EVMs and VVPATs used in six Assembly constituencies. Strongrooms were allocated to each constituency — Namakkal, Paramathi Velur, Senthamangalam, Rasipuram, Tiruchengode and Kumarapalayam — and sealed in the presence of agents of the candidates on Thurdsay.
