The current crop of artificial intelligence tools landed on our smartphones and web browsers as chatbots — they were designed to answer queries. You can ask it something, and receive a statistically probable response based on its training data.

Apart from the training data, these chatbots are also built with a certain personality — to be agreeable. This trait may not be good for users who turn to chatbot for personal advice as they could create a type of echo chamber effect on the individual and make them less empathetic to the other.
