‘Timely intervention vital in type 1 diabetes cases’

The prevalence of type 1 diabetes among children has shown an increase these days necessitating the need to create awareness about the disease so that parents could seek timely medical intervention on identifying early symptoms of the disease.

Towards the purpose of creating awareness on type 1 diabetes, the Department of Paediatrics at the Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research held a health education programme for children with the disease and their caregivers at its campus recently.
