Telangana Prohibition and Excise Inspector Deenu Satyanarayana | Photo Credit: By Arrangement A Telangana Prohibition and Excise Inspector posted in Bichkunda of Kamareddy district was arrested by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Friday (April 17, 2026) while allegedly accepting a bribe of ₹2 lakh for discharging official duties. The accused officer, identified as Deenu Satyanarayana, was trapped at his rented residence in Bichkunda while demanding and accepting the bribe from a complainant. The amount was sought for not pressuring the complainant to shift toddy shops from certain villages and not registering further cases, thereby allowing the shops to operate without interference.
