Assembly constituencies in North Chennai registered a high turnout on Thursday, with Dr. Radhakrishnan Nagar recording 90.5% (as of 9. =50 p.m.), the highest among the 16 constituencies of Chennai district.

Voters visited polling stations in the constituency braving the summer heat, with many booths remaining crowded throughout the day. Many senior citizens visited the polling stations as Chennai district election office made arrangements to transport the voters. Volunteers with wheelchair were found assisting the senior citizens at the polling stations in areas such as Perambur, Royapuram, and Dr. Radhakrishnan Nagar.
