The Supreme Court on Monday (April 20, 2026) rejected a plea filed by former JNU student leader Umar Khalid to review its January 5, 2026 decision refusing to grant him bail in the Delhi riots ‘larger conspiracy’ case.

A Bench of Justices Aravind Kumar and N.V. Anjaria, did not find “any good ground and reason to review the judgment dated January 5, 2026”.

The review petition was heard in chambers by the two judges on April 16. The order was published on Monday.
