Raghuraman, who was a member of the MDMK and had won the last election on the DMK’s symbol, joined the BJP on Tuesday in the presence of its State president and Sattur candidate Nainar Nagenthran. An hour before Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu arrived in Sattur for an election meeting, Dr. Raghuraman entered the venue with Mr. Nagenthran and AIADMK leader Kadambur C. Raju. The leaders were to address a gathering of voters belonging to the Naidu community, who have a significant presence in Sattur.
