The five day Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Jayanthi festival at Saliyamangalam, encompassing the ‘bhagavathamela’ (spiritual dance drama) will commence on April 28. The spiritual dance dramas – ‘prahalada charithiram’ and ‘rukmini kalyanam’ – will be performed at the Saliyamangalam Agraharam on April 30 and May 1. These dramas from ‘Pothana Bhagavatham’ will be enacted only by male Brahmin artistes in Telugu language, according to a communication.
