Minister for Revenue Anagani Satya Prasad Minister for Revenue, Registration and Stamps Anagani Satya Prasad on Friday (January 30) directed officials to ensure an error-free Resurvey 2.0, stressing that the exercise must instil confidence among farmers. Chairing a detailed review meeting with senior revenue officials at Chief Commissioner of Land Administration (CCLA) office in Mangalagiri, the Minister said the government had issued a new Standard Operating Procedure (SOP), extending the resurvey timeline to 140 days to allow thorough verification. He instructed officials to actively involve landowners at every stage and to defer surveys if the farmers concerned were not present, instead of proceeding in their absence. Mr. Satya Prasad said the distribution of pattadar pass books would be conducted in a transparent and error-free manner from February 2 to 9. Before printing new pass books, officials must display land records to farmers and landowners and obtain their consent, he said, adding that there should be no scope for corrections once the documents are printed. The Minister also asked officials to prepare a comprehensive policy to resolve issues related to 22-A land. He said discussions held earlier in Group of Ministers meetings would form the basis, but a clear proposal should first be evolved at the officials’ level before a final policy announcement by the government. He noted that revenue clinics being held in districts were yielding positive results and called for measures to make them more effective. Emphasising systemic reform, he said revenue-related grievances should be resolved within the same month they arise.
